Hardware Upgrade

Memory Installation

Corsair XMS2 DRAM ModuleThe binary world feeds itself with Random Access Memory and competetion between manufacturers has never been more fierce. There has never been more ideal a time to increase the memory capacity of your current computer. We will examine your computer to determine its soft and hard memory limitations and appropriately install the correct quantity and type of memory for your needs. All memory modules purchased through the helpdesk are warranted for life by the manufacturer.

Hard Disk Installation

Hard disk installation imageDigital media is requiring more and more storage space to contain it, seemingly by the day. The result of this fervent demand for capacity has resulted in very serious competetion between hard disk manufacturers driving prices down, down, down. A computer with a cluttered system disk is detrimental to the user's experience, causing system wide slowdowns as the operating system has to page virtual memory to and from the cluttered disk. There is simply no valid reason to operate a computer at or near its hard disk capacity with extra storage so cheap and abundant.

CPU Upgrade

CPU Upgrade ImageMany older machines were designed with upgradability in mind. Upgrade the physical processor of a baseline machine for a very immediate and noticable performance gain. Note that upgrading the central processor becomes less viable with each year the system ages, as either a new socket type / core are introduced or the production volume of "last-gen" processors drops precipitously due to falling demand, driving the price-per-CPU up. Still, there are many cases in which CPU replacement is the cheapest and most noticable option.

GPU Upgrade

Many applications, especially games are making ever increasing demands upon graphics processors. Even operating systems are beginning to have steeper requirements for interface rendering due to use of hardware accelerated functions. Don't let the competetion leave you in the dust with poor frame rates and upgrade your graphics processor today.

Data Redundancy

RAID configuration image. For customers interested in peak performance and data redundancy we offer RAID installation and configuration services. We have experience in all manners of RAID configurations include RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 1+0, RAID 5, and RAID 6. For data redundancy with marked disk read/write performance we would recommend the configuration of a RAID 1+0 array, which allows striping of data for performance gains combined with the security of mirroring for data security and parity in case of device failure. RAID 1+0 arrays are universally recognized for having superior fault tolerance.

Power Supply

With upgrading computer hardware in mind, it may not always be possible to meet the electricity requirements of newer hardware with antiquated (and often substandard) OEM power supplies. Fluctuating voltages and inadequite current can shorten significantly a component's mean time between failure, while manifesting difficult to diagnose behaviors such as crashes, lockups and sporadic rebooting. Don't leave the livlihood of your business in the hands of a bottom dollar OEM power supply, and never consider hardware changes or upgrades without first considering power demands!
